North Star Group: Commitment to Combatting Human Trafficking

North Star Group is a proud adherent to the Texas Secretary of State’s Texas Businesses Against Trafficking (TBAT) initiative. We recognize that businesses, big and small, play a vital role in supporting state, local, and federal efforts to eliminate human trafficking, and we have implemented several internal policies and practices to uphold that responsibility.

As part of our Zero Tolerance Policy, North Star Group:

• Fully complies with all applicable federal and state anti-human trafficking laws and regulations.
• Reviews our suppliers, subcontractors, and business inputs for vulnerabilities to trafficking and includes policy language in our agreements encouraging adherence to anti-trafficking practices.
• Prohibits employees, contractors, or partners from withholding identity or immigration documents.
• Prohibits the use of business funds or resources to support businesses in the commercial sex industry.

To ensure accountability and internal awareness:

• We provide mandatory training to all staff and contractors to recognize and address signs of trafficking.
• Employees and contractors are informed of the Zero Tolerance Policy and the consequences of non-compliance.

Additionally, North Star Group actively participates in public education efforts, such as community awareness campaigns and professional training programs, that support broader anti-trafficking goals. We share best practices with state officials and industry peers to help build a stronger, united front against trafficking throughout Texas and Nationwide.

Through our alignment with TBAT, we affirm our commitment to ethical operations, community safety, and supporting victims by maintaining vigilance in our business practices and advocating for awareness and prevention.
